Workshop on Data Analysis and Decision Making

The Department of MBA, Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology, Ranipet, successfully organized a four-day workshop on “Data Analysis and Decision Making” from 4 to 7 February 2026 for first-year MBA students. The programme was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application of data analytics in managerial decision-making.

Mr. Venkatesh Prasanna B R, Assistant Professor, KCT Business School, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, served as the resource person. The workshop offered intensive hands-on training in advanced Excel, Power BI, and Python, with sessions focusing on data cleaning, descriptive and inferential analysis, dashboard creation, visualization techniques, and basic scripting for business analytics. Real-time datasets and business cases were used to help students interpret analytical outputs and translate insights into managerial decisions.

The sessions were held at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Hall, Kamarajar Block, commencing daily at 9.01 a.m. The workshop enhanced students’ analytical thinking, technical competence, and confidence in using contemporary analytics tools, thereby aligning MBA learning outcomes with current industry requirements.
