Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology Celebrates Kamarajar's 124th Birth Anniversary

Vellore, 15 July 2026: Annai Mira College of Engineering and Technology, Arappakkam, celebrated the 124th birth anniversary of Perunthalaivar Karmaveerar K. Kamaraj as Education Development Day, while also marking the commencement of the college's 15th academic year.

The celebration was presided over by the Founder and Chairman, Mr. S. Ramadoss, and the Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. G. Thamothiran. They paid floral tributes to the portrait of Karmaveerar Kamaraj, remembering his remarkable contributions to education and social development.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted Kamaraj's vision that education and hard work are the foundations of an equitable and progressive society. They also recalled his pioneering efforts in expanding educational opportunities and laying the foundation for the growth of technical and engineering education in Tamil Nadu.

The event also commemorated a significant milestone in the institution's journey. Established on 15 July 2012, the college has successfully completed 14 years of dedicated service in technical education and is proudly stepping into its 15th academic year.

The programme was attended by Principal Dr. T. K. Gopinathan, Administrative Officer Mr. Sandhilyan, Directors Mr. Prasanth and Mr. Kishore, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and office staff, all of whom paid tribute to the legendary leader.

As part of the celebration, Founder and Chairman Mr. S. Ramadoss and Secretary and Treasurer Mr. G. Thamothiran distributed sweets to the participants, making the occasion a memorable and joyous one for the college community.
